North American Service Center

The Atlas Copco North American Service Center (NSC) has become the logistical hub for the Atlas Copco business areas in North America, supporting the customer centers in the US and Canada. The service center operates out of two facilities (both located in Charlotte, North Carolina), with a total footprint of 215,000 square feet and ships around 975,000 order lines on a yearly basis. Internship Opportunities
This summer we will be offering full-time summer internships to undergraduate and graduate students with the following majors and/or related majors:
Mechanical/Industrial Engineering - - Industrial Distribution -- Industrial Organization
Student interns will participate in a wide variety of activities supporting teams, departments and programs in the following functional departments:
- Audit NSC internal business processes, identify gaps and suggest improvements
- Guided by the lead auditor
- Analyze documented business processes
- Verify implementation of documented business processes through
- Interviews
- Data analysis
- Identify process gaps
- Suggest improvements to existing business processes
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be:
- Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution.
- Eligible to work in the United States without company assistance.
- Must be a rising junior or senior within their program of study.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and show initiative.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
Note: Internships start Monday, June 5, 2017 and continue for ten (10) weeks until Friday, August 11, 2017. Students must be able to commit to full-time (40 hours/week) employment during the internship. Housing will NOT be provided.
